Salt pile

I ran away from my family just before the sunset to take a few shots for our P.H.otography workshop. I planned to go and take photos of our famous salt pile and have chosen the location but the road ended up to be closed and the sun was getting down so quick … ah…a bit too far but not too bad I reckon. At least I had time to play with shutter speed. Had lots of fun and looks like getting to know my camera better.
Voila, my salt pile of the day.

Me and girls (Eva and Mum) went photo hunting for road trains this afternoon. Eva usually having her bath a six o’clock and we had just over an hour to go for a walk. Time flies. I think I only made a couple of shots and we were already missing half an hour. Thanks God it didn’t took me long to play with the light and here it is my truck of the day. To tell the truth I did not add sharpness to the photo as per Christian’s Fletcher advise before posting it to the web. I think I should.

This is time for me to start my photo blog. We’ll see how I go.

Update: two hrs later.

I got out of the house at 5 am this morning to attend ship. Fortunately I had my camera with me and while waiting on the jetty for the line boat I took a few shots of the sun rising over the Indian Ocean with tug boats on the horizon. Beautiful.

Unfortunately, I have just spent two hours trying to play with the light on the photos in Lightroom and obviously killed the time as I did not save the developed file.

I have to start all over again.
